Michelle Mistele and Parks Hunter have always believed in the Rainbow Station model, even when their three children couldn’t be admitted to a school branch in Richmond, Va., due to a 400-kid waiting list.

That didn’t stop the couple from loving the early childhood education facility’s mission, style and programs.

“We had seen a lot of different child care options... but we got to know a couple of the directors (atRainbow Station) on a more personal level and met the founder Gail Johnson,” Mistele said. “We learned why the school was so unique. Gail wanted to expand and we were just true believers in Gail.”
